ALL visits are by APPOINTMENT ONLY. Because of the nature of our facility, we do NOT keep “normal” business hours. To make sure we are available to you and to eliminate interruptions during lessons and playtimes — and probably just as importantly, to minimize noise for our neighbors — we kindly request that you make appointments for all your visits.
Visits, lessons, drop-offs and pickups are scheduled at mutually convenient times as available.
For boarding dropoffs and pickups, 7 days a week: 8am, 10am, noon, 5pm, 6pm or 7pm
For lessons or adoption visits, 7 days a week: on the hour 10a-1p, 5p or 6p
For facility visits, 7 days a week: 10a, 5p or 6p

At our busier times, we can book up a week in advance for all available times with lessons and visits. We recommend booking lessons and visits as soon as you can to prevent missing out on a time that works for you.
We meet and work individually with all of our clients and their dogs. We do not “warehouse” pets for boarding or training. Rather, we provide a very unique and enjoyable atmosphere for all the dogs in our care through one-on-one interaction, training and daily activity. You and your dog are being served by us, the owners, and our dedicated staff members at our home.

Health and other general requirements

Please note that the policies below are to protect the dogs in our care (including yours) and to maintain high standards of health for every dog’s well-being. Most other boarding facilities do not require heartworm and flea/tick prevention, but this is one way that we can maintain a parasite-free environment for all the companions in our care.

Owner must provide at time of dropoff or before:

• Proof of current veterinarian-administered vaccinations — rabies, distemper/parvo and bordatella (oral bordatella annually, intranasal bordatella within 6 months)
  *if you vaccinate your dogs yourself, we do require proof of purchase as well as the lot number of the packaging of the vaccine
• Proof of flea and tick prevention program
• Proof of heartworm prevention
• Dog food — this allows your dog to maintain its own diet
• Any required medication

Payment:

Payment for boarding is due at the time you drop your dog off. As a result, when you pick your dog up, we will have him or her bathed, organized and ready to go. We recognize that most people don’t want to bother with paperwork and payment when they have just home from a trip. They want to see their dog and get back home!

We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Things you should know about your dog’s stay:

Regardless of whether your dog is in a formal training program or just boarding, he/she will be spending several hours per day outside running and playing with other dogs. This means that your dog, in the course of normal daily activity, may receive cuts, scrapes, nicks and other minor cosmetic “injuries”. They may also develop limps as a result of rowdy or boisterous play. ALTHOUGH THESE THINGS ARE ***NOT*** COMMON, some dogs are more prone to this than others. If you have ANY hesitation to board with us because of this, please visit or call us to discuss this further. If you still have reservations, we encourage you to board your dog where it will be kept in a kennel run and not allowed to play with other dogs OR where it will receive individual walks. The benefit of the play and activity they receive here with us is TREMENDOUSLY emotionally, physically and mentally beneficial, but not everyone feels comfortable with or completely understands this.

Some dogs, regardless of the type of kennel facility, will not eat when boarding. Although this rarely happens here, because the dogs are usually so busy all day that they’re hungry at dinner time, it is possible that your dog may lose weight during his/her stay as a result of increased activity and/or lack of appetite. We monitor the general health of all dogs in our care and will take appropriate action to remedy the situation if necessary.

Dogs with allergies or skin sensitivities may develop hot spots or reactions during their stay. Although many of their owners are already aware that their dog may be prone to these, some dogs develop them for the first time during their stay here as a result of increased activity, stress (good or bad) or the amount of time spent outdoors. Some breeds that are prone to skin reactions include: golden retrievers, german shepherds, labrador retrievers, boxers, and some mixes. Of course, any dog can have an allergic reaction. Most of these can be treated here. If you know that your dog is prone to skin irritations and you already have medication (any form), we encourage you to bring it with you just in case.

We do NOT board fence jumpers or dogs that dig under fences UNLESS they are in a formal obedience program.

We do NOT board people-aggressive dogs or dogs in heat for ANY reason.
